• Send the form to the email address or fax number at the bottom of the form, OR drop it off at one of our campusses,
• When you are invited to come for your interview, you will need to bring:
  • a copy of your most recent academic results (applicants with international school-leaving certificates must include an Equivalence Certificate) with the Interview Application form,
  • copies of 6 portfolio pieces or copies of 6 drawings as described on page 2 of the Interview Application Form.

• commercial interiors - boutiques, restaurants, exhibition stands, conference centres, clinics, department stores, hotels, resorts, offices,
• it also includes home interiors and, of course,
• furniture and product design.

• the programme takes a hands-on approach to the essential Interior Design theory which is learned through lectures, tutorials and research;
• relevant practical exercises and projects are introduced throughout each year specifically aimed at applying the theory and skills learned;
• there is ample industry contact with practicing designers, contractors and suppliers. The programme is constantly updated to meet the ever-changing needs of the Interior Design world;
• our programme prepares you for the real world of the design professional: we teach you how to start and run your own design business profitably.

• be able to design: ie take a brief, research, plan, conceptualise, produce presentation and technical documentation, oversee the construction to completion;
• have developed your aesthetic awareness and your practical skills to enable you to communicate your design ideas and solutions in a professional manner;
• be able to produce presentation drawings (artists' impressions) and models, architectural plans and elevations, specifications and schedules, sample boards - by hand and on the computer (CAD);
• know how to combine creativity with a knowledge of building construction and materials & finishes to produce working designs that can be built;
• oversee and project manage the implementation of a design;
• be able to join a design business as a productive and effective design professional from day one; and
• be ready to set up and operate your own design business successfully.

• graduates find employment with interior design companies, architectural practices, property developers, retail chains, shop-fitting companies, hotels, office furniture manufacturers, departmental stores, exhibition companies, decorating practices, commercial and finance houses...
• our past students are employed both locally and overseas (see examples of their work on our portfolio page);
• and you are, of course, more than adequately qualified to open your own business as a consultant or freelance designer.

The law requires all people who produce architectural documentation to register with SACAP (the Architectural Council). Because this Inscape course is validated by SACAP (the Architectural Council), you only do three years intenship. (Inscape is the first and only private college to have its courses validated by SACAP)

what are the entry requirements?
Because this is a SAQA registered Bachelor of Design degree (SAQA 48810) or diploma (SAQA 48440), you will need:

• a National Senior Certificate that states that "the candidate ... has met the minimum requirements for admission to a bachelors' degree, diploma..."
